Living in Perris, California

Perris is one of the original incorporated cities in Riverside County, founded in 1911 as a major destination along the Santa Fe Railroad. Many of California's major agricultural endeavors were based in Perris and farming remains an important legacy to this thoroughly modern community. While there have been significant changes over the past 100 years, even the newest residential developments have combined the City's western heritage with modern design elements and amenities, continuing the welcoming tradition of early Perris. Residents enjoy a sound tax base grounded in big name commercial stores and several major distribution centers, and aided by the cozy family owned shops of its historic downtown. Perris has been chosen as the newest destination for the Metrolink rail system, and soon commuters will be able to board the train in Perris on their way to Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles and beyond.
